Health hazard, Embarrassment to society, and Screaming metal death trap all rolled into one.

So I know I've been super failing at the whole blogging thing but i realized if i didn't write something about this, i might as well fail at life.

When my mom remarried, my step dad brought with him this truck that is probably be twice my age. It's always just sat in front of our house and my dad would use it occasionally to take things to the dump or get things for the garden.

I always knew it was a piece, but never realized how bad till i woke up Wednesday to find that some spiky seed that punctured my bike tire the night before. I had stuff i needed to do, and no way to get around town. my mom was on a trip and my dad was a work, my only option was the truck.

to start, the inside

this is uniquely stylized with duct tape and dirt. the inside door handles are pieces of metal duct taped to where they use to go when the handle was ripped apart and rendered useless. the seat and floors are covered in stains and dirt and probably haven't been clean in the last 15 years. the steering wheel has some nice accessory bands of duct tape which holds on the sides of the covering and allows the ability to use the horn and never mind the radio it only gets one stations and it's not FM. there is a saving feature, the doors and windows open and close but be patient when opening the door, it takes some key jiggling and playin with the handle to unlock it.

On Wednesday, it took me five minutes to get out of the drive way. and then another 10 to get out of the road where it had died on me. Finally after i got it moving i soon discovered that anytime it starts moving from a dead stop the truck jerks really bad until you shift up which you can't do until your moving else you'll kill it. after it's moving it's not to bad it's just a little hard to get it into gear. When driving i think my dad put it best when he said, "steering it is like trying to steer a cow while sitting on it." which you may think it sounds stupid until you drive it. It will literally turn at random times in random direction and if you don't have your hands on the wheel it'll drive right off the road into a tree. i have debated whether or not to nickname it the blue cow cause it's fat, ugly, and feels like you're riding one when you drive it.

Just like everything it does get a little easier to drive when you get use to it, I've had to drive it for the past few days and have only killed it a few time in the last 24 hours, but thankfully my mom is coming back with Vanny tomorrow. So if you ever happen to see this on the road.

don't get to close unless you want to suck up blue smoke in your ac and have the chance of it dying and not being able to get around.

Pocatello... what a place

well for those of you who happen to come across this blog and are not familiar with that which is Poky, hopefully you will be able to imagine a bit of how it is here in wonderful pocatello.

Snow:

Only in Pocatello can you have multiple snow storms and then have it all melt by the end of the day. I swear the only reason for the snow is to make roads slick and have people crash, Or while you're headed to your friends house, so you guys can go to a movie, you turn your wheel and almost slide past their street. Don't worry Ashlee I won't mention any names ;j  As you can imagine this makes it pretty difficult to do anything in the snow. Like having it snow and getting friends together to go sledding only to drive to the hill and find out that 75% of the snow melted away and end up pretty much sledding on grass. isn't that just so magical.

It's not like this happens all the time tho. it only snows at the most inconvenient time possible. Things start to look promising in the beginning by having some pretty good snow fall before thanksgiving only to have it all melt and not have any the whole break. It finally starts to come back around the second week of  December and stays around for while and then all melts just before the last day of school so you can't go and have fun in it. Oh and on top of it all, there is NEVER enough snow for a snow day. Anyway, a little redemption is there always tends to be snow on Christmas, but don't worry it melts pretty fast and snows maybe one more time the whole break... woo hoo ...talk about fun :P  The best part about all this is about a week after the break ends and everyone goes back to school, the weather finally decides it's a good time to snow again and make all the roads slick again.

Now some may think that this is pretty cool not having snow and such but whenever it's not snowing it's windy which is even worse cause then it's just plain cold. At Least with snow you have something to do, That is if it stays around long enough. Don't worry tho, if you're upset about missing all the snow during the Winter, you still may have a chance to catch it in July.
